Established in 2000, Quattro Architecture has developed into an award winning Architectural practice with offices in Sydney and Canberra. With an impressive folio of successfully completed projects Australia wide we have developed a depth of experience in a number of project areas.

HOSPITALITY & TOURISM ARCHITECTURE - SYDNEY & CANBERRA

25 years. Every project delivered. No exceptions.

Quattro Architecture works with Australian club, RSL, hotel, and hospitality operators to design and deliver venues that hit their commercial targets, and that stay open and trading while construction happens around them.

WHAT WE DO

Hotel architecture & hospitality design, from brief to handover

Quattro provides full hotel architecture and hospitality design services for operators across NSW and the ACT, from a single-room bar upgrade to a multi-stage club masterplan. We cover the whole project: concept design, authority approvals, interior design, construction documentation, and contract administration. You get one team, across our Sydney and Canberra studios, who stay involved from the first briefing call to the day you open.

Our hotel architects and hospitality designers have delivered across licensed clubs, RSL venues, hotels, restaurants, and sporting and leisure facilities. The brief is always different. The process is always clear.

01
Brief Development & Feasibility

We start before the drawings do. We sit with your operations and procurement team, identify what your venue actually needs, test it against your budget, and tell you honestly what's achievable, including how to stage the project so your revenue areas keep working throughout.

04
Hospitality Design & Interiors

We develop the hospitality design; finishes, fixtures, spatial layout, and atmosphere, as part of the same engagement, not a separate process bolted on later. Everything is resolved as a coherent whole. At Eastlake FC, we gave each area of the club its own distinct character while keeping the venue unified.

02
Concept & Schematic Design

We translate your brief into design options that are grounded in how your venue functions commercially, not just how they look on a render. We test each option against your operational requirements before moving forward.

05
Construction Documentation

Detailed drawings and specifications that builders can price accurately and build from with confidence. Our documentation is thorough enough to support genuine competitive tendering, meaning the quotes you receive are comparable, and the contract sum reflects the real cost of the project.

03
Authority Approvals & DA Management

We prepare and lodge your Development Application or CDC, engage with council planners before lodgement, and manage the process through to approval, keeping the timeline moving so construction starts when it's supposed to.

06
Contract Administration & Site Review

We stay on the project through construction, reviewing payment claims, responding to builder queries, making site visits, and certifying that the finished work matches the documentation. This is where problems get caught early, not after practical completion.

WHY QUATTRO

What makes us different for hospitality and tourism projects

01

Health architecture in Australia operates under a specific and shifting set of rules: the Aged Care Quality Standards, BCA Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions, infection control guidelines, and state-specific planning instruments. We've navigated all of them. You won't be our first aged care project, and you won't be paying for us to learn on the job.

We know the compliance
landscape, not just the aesthetics

02

A single point of contact from brief to handover

On every project, a senior architect leads your job, not a graduate who escalates every query. That means faster decisions, consistent communication, and someone accountable when things need resolving quickly.

03

Sydney and Canberra offices, national delivery

With offices in two capital cities, we respond quickly to site meetings without billing you a half-day of travel time. We've delivered health and aged care architecture projects across NSW and the ACT, and have
strong local relationships with
planning authorities in both markets.

04

Operational thinking, not just design thinking

We design facilities around how staff actually move, where equipment actually lives, and how residents actually experience the space, not around what looks impressive in a render. That approach shows up in lower ongoing maintenance costs and fewer post-occupancy complaints from your team.

SELECTED PROJECTS

Australian club, RSL & hospitality projects

Three projects that show what it looks like in practice, each with real operational constraints, heritage or planning complexity, and clients who needed clear communication throughout.

HERITAGE INTERIOR - SYDNEY CBD

The Australian Club

Guest accomodation addition and Business Lounge upgrade at one of Sydney's most upgrade at one of Sydney's most prestigious member's clubs. Full service from concept to construction, completed while the club remained open and trading.

NEW-BUILD CLUB - CANBERRA ACT

Eastlake FC

A full new club in Canberra's expanding north; Public Bar, Entertainment Lounge, Sports Bar, TAB, Gaming Lounge, Bistro, and three separable Function Rooms. Designed for commercial efficiency, with spaces that scale down to reduced staffing during quiet periods.

STAGED REFURBISHMENT - WESTERN SYDNEY

Merrylands RSL

New club entry and vehicular drop-off plaza, consolidated gaming floor with provision for staged expansion, and a heritage-listed building adapted into a new community and function space, plus a coffee lounge, restaurant, kids' play area, and smokers' terrace. WHY QUATTRO

What our hotel architects and hospitality designers do differently

Grounded in specific decisions made on real projects, not marketing language.

At The Australian Club, works were sequenced so members never noticed the project was happening. At Merrylands RSL, gaming and dining kept operating across multiple construction stages. Operational continuity isn't a nice-to-have we add at the end, it's a constraint we set at the start and carry through every drawing.

We design for live trading

from the first brief

We manage approvals,

not just applications

We engage planners before lodgement, prepare complete documentation the first time, and respond quickly to council information requests. A delayed DA costs you time and programme. Active management of the approval process, not just submission, is what keeps projects on schedule.

Commercial efficiency is designed in,

not assumed

At Eastlake FC, the layout was specifically designed to allow the club to run on reduced staffing during quieter periods, without looking understaffed or compromising the patron experience. That kind of thinking only comes from understanding how hospitality venues actually generate revenue.

Architecture and interior design

in one engagement

Splitting architecture and interior design across two firms creates gaps, in budget, in coordination, and in the final result. We manage both under one brief, which means the finishes, fixtures, and spatial experience are resolved together rather than stitched together at the end.

GET STARTED

Not sure where to start?
That's fine.

Most of our best projects began with a short conversation; no formal brief, no committed budget. Here's what happens when you reach out:

1

You book a short call - no obligation, no pitch.

2

We ask about your project, timeline, budget and operational constraints.

3

We tell you honestly what the right next step looks like, even if that's not a full engagement yet.
