This Integrated Care Village consists of four 3-4 storey buildings, surrounding the heritage listed St Luke’s Church. The proposed buildings contain a mix of 60 seniors independent living units and 48 residential aged care facility rooms. Community facilities are provided within the 2 blocks adjacent to a new pedestrian plaza fronting the church accessed fron Taylor St.

Quattro was engaged to assist the Client in developing a detailed sketch design and preparing the documents required for a pre-DA meetings with Brisbane City Council and final DA documents. The design required a sensitive response to the culturally significant setting and the proposed Aged Care buildings are carefully located to maintain view corridors of the church from the surroundings.

The work included preliminary design preparation, site analysis, investigation of planning options, coordination with Heritage and Urban Planning consultants, accessibility throughout the site; and development of unit plans, RACF floor plans and architectural character of the complex as a whole.
