SDN is a not-for-profit organisation which provides education and care for children. This includes long day care and preschool, as well as support services to families and children.

Works within their Redfern facility included a small addition to the existing Community Room. Quattro Architecture provided design and documentation in order to obtain DA approval from Council.

The centre required a new self-contained room catering to the community uses. It needed to be within the centre's existing site whilst remaining self contained.

The project had a modest budget and some significant physical constraints on site, such that Quattro proposed low cost construction materials, the Sycon Cladding system, for a neat aesthetic facade articulation.

The design was also arranged to minimise the need for excavation on site, further reducing cost to the Client.
