The recent renewal of Lindfield Public School’s hall and pool area has allowed pupils of all abilities to access to these facilities.
The brief was to design and oversee construction of:
// New raised pool side seating and associated shade structure
// New cover area
// School hall extension including a new raised suspended concrete slab; perimeter balustrade; and solid metal roof over; with wall of new vertical folding doors to provide connection into existing Hall.
Quattro were appointed for full architectural services – from initial concept sketches through to contract administration, working closely with the builder, consultant team and P&C Committee throughout.
As Lead Consultant, Quattro designed and documented these new outdoor structures to improve the level of amenity to the existing primary school grounds. The design development process has recently resolved several accessibility issues in the school grounds. This has included providing wheelchair bays in the stadium seating, new accessible pool thresholds, tactile indicators and appropriate handrails.
