Quattro were appointed for full architectural services, from initial concept through to contract administration, working closely with the builder, consultant team and P&C Committee throughout.

The works included alterations and additions to the existing site, to include: new raised pool side seating and associated shade structure; new covered area; and school hall extension.

The hall extension included a new raised, suspended concrete slab, perimiter balustrade and solid metal roof, with a wall of new vertical folding doors internally to provide connection to the existing hall.

As lead consultant, Quattro designed these new structures to improve the level of amenity to the existing primary school grounds. The design development process has resolved several accessibility issues in the school grounds, ensuring pupils of all abilities have full access to the facilities. This has included providing wheelchair bays in the stadium seating, new accessible pool thresholds, tactile indicators and appropriate handrails.
